Hyundai’s Sport S Line: A New Level of Performance

A New Performance Lineup Coming Soon Below Hyundai N Range

Hyundai has announced the upcoming launch of a new performance lineup that will fill the gap between the existing N and N Line models. Revealed at the company’s 2026 Investor Day, this yet-to-be-named tier aims to target high-volume sales by offering a blend of value features for a daily high-performance driving experience while utilizing engines, gearboxes, and other components from N models.

The upcoming vehicles in this new lineup are expected to be more road-focused rather than track-oriented. Hyundai’s CEO and President, José Muñoz, stated, “And we’re adding something between N and N Line – a new volume high-performance variant carrying over powertrains and parts from N.”

Currently, Hyundai offers five N models globally, resulting in approximately 20,000 sales in 2025. Additionally, 12 models with N Line specifications contributed an extra 161,000 sales. N Line models vary from vehicles with interior and exterior styling packages to those with more potent engines.

The upcoming N-Lite lineup is expected to bridge the gap between N and N Line models, offering younger buyers the opportunity to experience sportier vehicles at a more affordable price point. This strategy aims to attract a new generation of Hyundai enthusiasts.

Since its launch in Australia in 2018, the Hyundai N brand has gained popularity among driving enthusiasts. The new N-Lite lineup is anticipated to further enhance Hyundai’s presence in the market.
