Bungie Extends Vault Breaker PvE Game Mode in Marathon
Bungie has decided to keep Vault Breaker, their new experimental PvE game mode for Marathon, online for an extended period. Originally scheduled to be available for a limited time from July 21st to August 4th, the development team has now pushed the deadline to August 18th. This decision came after receiving valuable feedback from the Marathon community.
In an official statement, the Marathon development team expressed their gratitude to players for testing Vault Breaker in Cryo and providing insights into the experimental PvE mode. They have decided to keep the mode live until August 18th to continue gathering feedback and improving the gameplay experience.
Vault Breaker offers Marathon players a preview of the PvE experience that will be featured in Season 3, set to launch in September. Players can explore the Cryo Archive, a previously PvP-exclusive map, to unlock Vaults and extract valuable data. This mode aims to provide a different gameplay experience for those who prefer PvE content over the intense PvP battles in Marathon.
While some players have expressed mixed feelings about Vault Breaker, considering it as an experiment, all eyes are now on Bungie as they prepare to unveil their plans for Marathon Season 3. The upcoming season will introduce a new Shell (character class), bonus weapons, gear, and enhancements to the early game experience.
