Amazon seemingly leaked Jason Statham’s entire Mutiny movie

Jason Statham’s Latest Film, “Mutiny,” Accidentally Released on Amazon Prime Video

Fans of action star Jason Statham were in for a surprise today when his upcoming film Mutiny was briefly available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, a full two days before its scheduled theatrical release on August 21st.

The accidental release was confirmed by journalist Dominic Preston, who noted that the entire 1 hour and 35-minute movie was accessible on the platform for a limited time before being taken down and marked as “unavailable.”

Despite the premature streaming, the official Mutiny website and promotional materials emphasize that the film will only be shown in theaters upon its official release date.

There is no indication that the early release on Prime Video was intentional or part of a marketing strategy. Neither the production studios nor the distributor of the film have ties to Amazon, prompting speculation on how the film ended up on the streaming platform before its intended release.

The availability of Mutiny on Prime Video was discovered to include detailed information such as the cast list, a video thumbnail, and a brief synopsis that teases the plotline of the film.

Update, August 19th: The film is no longer accessible for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
