Power Up Your Devices with the Ugreen Nexode Pro 300W Desktop Charger: A Comprehensive Review
The Ugreen Nexode Pro 300W Desktop Charger is the latest offering from Ugreen, providing a high-powered charging solution for multiple devices. It stands out with its 5 USB-C ports, one of which can deliver 140W output, along with a DC output capable of 240W, making it ideal for powering gaming laptops. Notably, this charger is one of the few to feature such a high-powered DC output, with the Cuktech 30 Ultra 300W being the only other one known to offer this feature.
The Cuktech review is set to go live in the next few days, allowing for comparisons between the two chargers. The Ugreen Nexode Pro boasts a sleek design with a brushed metal finish on the top and sides, a glossy black front panel, and six USB-C ports. The charger includes three capacitive buttons for control, providing a more deliberate user experience compared to the Cuktech’s single sliding switch.
Both chargers come with a stand, with the Cuktech featuring a magnetic stand that is slightly less stable than the Ugreen’s stand. In terms of ports, the Ugreen offers eight ports (6 USB-C, 1 USB-A, 1 DC), allowing for simultaneous charging of multiple devices. Three of the USB-C ports support 140W output, compared to two on the Cuktech, giving the Ugreen an edge in fast-charging capabilities.
However, the Cuktech’s 300W DC output matches its full rated output, while the Ugreen falls short at 240W. Additionally, the Cuktech comes with a DC cable and nine connector tips for various gaming laptops, while the Ugreen lacks these accessories. The Ugreen charger features a TFT display that shows real-time charging information, along with app control for remote monitoring and adjustment of port output.
The Ugreen Connect app complements the charger’s functionality, offering additional control and customization options. The charger provides various charging modes, including Adaptive Power, Thermal-safe charging, Priority Charging, and DC Turbo Charging. These modes allow users to optimize charging for different devices based on their needs.
In terms of performance, the Ugreen Nexode Pro efficiently handles multiple high-power devices simultaneously, with intelligent power allocation ensuring optimal charging for each device. The charger’s total output remains under the 300W limit in all tests, demonstrating its reliability and efficiency.
The Ugreen Nexode Pro is priced at £160, while the Cuktech 30 Ultra is available for £139. The choice between the two chargers depends on individual preferences and needs, with the Ugreen offering more USB-C ports and app compatibility, while the Cuktech provides a better display and includes DC cable and adaptors for gaming laptops.
Overall, the Ugreen Nexode Pro 300W Desktop Charger is a versatile and efficient charging solution for users with multiple devices. Its intelligent power allocation, real-time display, and app control make it a practical choice for those in need of high-powered charging capabilities.
