The Legacy of the Koenigsegg CC XP 001 Prototype

In the early 90s, Christian von Koenigsegg embarked on a groundbreaking journey to create his very first hypercar. This ambitious project resulted in the birth of the legendary CC, with the unveiling of the initial prototype, XP 001, in 1994.

The iconic Koenigsegg CC XP 001, a unique masterpiece, made a remarkable appearance at the recent Secret Meet 2026 event held at the prestigious Silverstone Circuit in the UK. This one-of-a-kind vehicle, previously showcased at the Monterey Car Week in 2025, traveled all the way from Dubai to surprise enthusiasts.

The Koenigsegg CC XP 001 boasts a semi-carbon fiber monocoque construction, showcasing the brand’s distinctive dihedral doors and a removable hard top. Originally silver, the vehicle underwent a stunning transformation, now flaunting a captivating metallic bronze exterior complemented by a luxurious blue Alcantara interior.

Under the hood, the CC is powered by a potent Audi-sourced 4.2-liter V8 engine mated to a manual gearbox. While it may not match the speed or technological advancements of modern Koenigsegg hypercars, the CC XP 001 holds a special place in automotive history, transcending mere performance metrics.
