Microsoft Office can now be controlled with Logitech’s MX Creative Console

Logitech Unveils New Productivity Plugins for MX Line Accessories

Logitech has recently introduced a range of Productivity Plugins designed for its entire MX series of accessories, including the MX Creative Console, a popular alternative to the Stream Deck. Ever since its launch in September 2024, the MX Creative Console has been steadily expanding its functionality through the addition of plug-ins that cater to creativity-centric applications like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Lightroom, and Figma. The latest development sees Logitech broadening its support to include productivity tools such as Microsoft Office’s Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with Slack and Notion.

Enhanced Accessibility with Logitech’s Actions Ring Menus

Users can now swiftly access shortcuts, commands, and specific features within these applications via Logitech’s Actions Ring menus, which are compatible with accessories like the MX Master 4 mouse and the MX Mechanical Mini keyboard. These Action Rings can be accessed through the Logi Options Plus app, which not only facilitates customization and personalization of various Logitech devices but also supports the new Productivity Plugins.

Customizable Functionality with MX Creative Console

The MX Creative Console empowers users to create dedicated buttons tailored to common tasks across the newly integrated apps. Functions like text replacement in Word, cell insertion in Excel, workspace switching in Slack, and task list formatting in Notion can all be streamlined with the newly introduced Productivity Plugins, which are now accessible for free through the Logi Marketplace.

Streamlined Device Connectivity with Easy Switch Feature

In addition to the plug-ins, Logitech has also announced enhancements to its Easy Switch functionality, enabling seamless connectivity and switching between multiple computers for accessories like mice and keyboards. Rather than manually toggling the Easy Switch button on each device, users can now configure the Logi Options Plus app to automatically switch between devices with a single press. This feature extends to keyboards like the MX Keys S and MX Keys Mini, with plans to include more keyboards from the MX series in the future. Firmware updates will be required for devices to enable this feature, ensuring a smooth transition across devices.
