Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra review 34

Rumors are circulating that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will come with a larger 5700mAh battery, addressing a historical weakness for Samsung. Despite this, it is speculated that the charging speeds of the upcoming model will not be compromised.

According to a recent report from reliable source Walle, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to maintain the 60W charging rate of its predecessor. However, advancements in charging optimization will enable the device to achieve faster wired charging speeds.

How the S27 will charge faster

Samsung is set to achieve this enhanced charging performance through a new optimization technique, allowing the Galaxy S27 Ultra to maintain higher charging speeds (55W to 56W) for an extended period.

While competitors like Xiaomi and Oppo boast impressive charging speeds exceeding 100W, these speeds are often short-lived due to thermal limitations. Samsung’s innovation aims to prolong the device’s peak charging rate, resulting in improved overall charging speeds.

The tipster suggests that this advancement will only marginally increase the charging speed of the Galaxy S27 Ultra compared to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, potentially enhancing it by only 2 to 3%.
