Slicing Through the Hype: Marvel’s Wolverine Trailer Unleashed for September Release
Sony Unveils Cinematic Trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine
Sony recently released a visually stunning trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine, showcasing cinematic scenes without any gameplay footage. While gamers eagerly await a glimpse of actual gameplay, the trailer offers a brief and captivating look at what’s to come in the highly anticipated game.
Scheduled for release on September 15th, 2026, Marvel’s Wolverine is being developed by Insomniac, the team behind the popular Spider-Man games. Exclusively available on the PS5, the game has already generated significant buzz, ranking as the top “Most Wanted Game of 2026.”
Players can choose between the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition, with the latter offering exclusive content for a slightly higher price of £79.99. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes Marvel’s Wolverine, 5 exclusive suits, 5 exclusive claws, 4 Technique Points, and pre-order incentives like early unlocks and PlayStation Avatars.
For those opting for the Standard Edition, the exclusive content can still be accessed through a £10 upgrade. Unlike some games that only offer digital copies, Marvel’s Wolverine will come with a physical disc for PS5 owners.
During Sony’s PlayStation State of Play June 2026 broadcast, an extended gameplay trailer for Wolverine was revealed. Creative director Marcus Smith introduced the trailer, showcasing Wolverine in action as he pursues cybernetically enhanced soldiers called The Reavers who have captured mutant children.
