BMW UK Unveils 7 Series Facelift as i7 60 xDrive with M Sport Package

BMW UK recently showcased the upcoming 7 Series facelift, presenting it as the i7 60 xDrive with the coveted M Sport Package. This electric luxury sedan boasts an Individual Frozen Space Silver color and is equipped with stylish aero cross-spoke wheels.

Series Production Set to Begin Next Month

The 7 Series LCI is set to go into series production next month, with the i7 60 xDrive being one of the versions available at launch. This exciting development comes hot on the heels of the i7 facelift’s world premiere in May.

Customization Options Galore

The pre-production prototype of the i7 60 xDrive features the M Sport Package, a popular choice among buyers. Notably, the vehicle is fitted with 21-inch M Aero cross-spoke wheels, which come at an additional cost but add a touch of elegance to the overall look. However, potential buyers should consider the impact of these wheels on the vehicle’s range, given its 112.5-kWh battery pack.

The Allure of Frozen Space Silver

One of the standout features of the i7 60 xDrive is its Frozen Space Silver color, a matte finish available through BMW’s Individual catalog. Priced at £3,600, this unique color option adds a touch of exclusivity to the vehicle. With over 500 color and color combination choices available for the new 7 Series, buyers have a wealth of customization options at their disposal.

Diverse Powertrain Options

BMW has opted for a single wheelbase option for the 7 Series, in contrast to Mercedes, which offers multiple wheelbase configurations for the S-Class. The upcoming ALPINA-badged 7 Series is expected to maintain the current wheelbase measurement of 3215 millimeters.

Production of the 7 Series LCI is scheduled to commence in July at the Dingolfing plant, with the i7 60 xDrive, i7 50 xDrive, and i7 M70 xDrive variants available in Europe at launch. The lineup also includes the 740 xDrive, the first G70 model in Europe with a pure gasoline engine. Diesel and plug-in hybrid options will follow later in the year, culminating in the introduction of a V8 gasoline-powered M Performance model in 2027.
