Kinetic Games and Remedy Entertainment Announce Alan Wake Crossover Event in Phasmophobia

A groundbreaking partnership has been unveiled as Kinetic Games and Remedy Entertainment join forces to introduce a limited-time event featuring Alan Wake in Phasmophobia, marking the game’s first crossover event set to commence on 12th May.

‘Phasmophobia by Alan Wake’ will immerse players in a world where the Dark Place begins to infiltrate Phasmophobia, transforming familiar locations, intensifying shadows, and adding a new layer of mystery to investigations.

“Collaborating with Remedy has been an extraordinary journey, and the convergence of these two worlds has unveiled eerie possibilities that players will delve into,” expressed Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games. “The synergy between the two games is seamless, and our art team has meticulously captured the essence of Alan Wake 2, infusing some of the game’s iconic settings into Phasmophobia.”

Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment, shared his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Many of us at Remedy are avid fans of Phasmophobia, making it a thrilling experience to merge these two horror universes in this haunting collaboration. The intertwining of our twisted realms creates a perfect amalgamation.”

The announcement coincides with Kinetic Games reaching a significant milestone, surpassing 5 million copies of Phasmophobia sold on consoles and a total of 28 million copies worldwide. Despite this achievement, the game remains labeled as ‘early access’.

Reflecting on Phasmophobia’s console launch, it was noted that while there were initial challenges in adapting controls for gamepads, the game’s essence shines through. Phasmophobia continues to offer an immersive and thrilling experience, particularly when played with friends in spooky settings.
