Battlefield 6: Naval Warfare on Massive Maps
EA’s Battlefield 6 Roadmap Unveiled: Big Plans for 2026
EA has recently revealed an exciting roadmap for Battlefield 6 in 2026, promising a plethora of new features and updates for players to look forward to. Following a successful second season earlier this year, the upcoming months are set to be packed with big maps and the introduction of naval warfare, adding a whole new dimension to the game.
In July, players can expect the arrival of naval battles as part of the second fieldbattling season. A new map called Tsuru Reef and a revamped version of the classic Wake Island will provide ideal settings for intense sea-based combat. Tsuru Reef boasts expansive air and sea spaces, new naval vehicles, operational aircraft carriers, and a dynamic wave system that players can leverage for strategic advantage.
March will see the release of Battlefield 6’s third season, featuring two new maps. Railway to Golmud, a reimagining of Battlefield 4’s Golmud Railway, will offer a massive playing area nearly four times the size of Mirak Valley. Additionally, Cairo Bazaar, a revamped version of Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar, will provide players with diverse combat opportunities.
While EA has unveiled only a portion of the upcoming maps, players can look forward to three mystery maps arriving in autumn as part of season five, bringing the total to seven. Aside from new maps and naval battles, the roadmap includes a range of new features such as battle royale options, custom lobbies, spectator mode, proximity chat, and a server browser with persistent servers.
