The Pixel 10A: A Fair Price at Last
Google’s Pixel A-series devices have a reputation for delivering compelling features, but the Pixel 10A fell short of expectations. Despite minor updates like satellite messaging and improved Gorilla Glass, its $499 price tag was disappointing compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 9A.
However, Prime Day brings good news for potential buyers, as the Pixel 10A is now available for $399 on Amazon. This reduced price makes the incremental updates more appealing, especially when considering the seven years of OS updates offered, similar to the Pixel 9A.
The Pixel 10A’s pricing may have been influenced by the ongoing RAM shortage, but the fact that it maintained its price point is a silver lining. With uncertainties surrounding phone discounts during this memory crisis, the $400 price tag for the 10A remains competitive. While the discount may not be as significant as last year’s Prime Day deal on the 9A, the value proposition of the 10A at $400 is hard to overlook.
