Unveiling the Ultimate Ferrari 296 Track-Only Supercar on September 13
Ferrari to Unveil New Track-Only Supercar
Ferrari is gearing up to reveal a brand new track-only supercar next month. The highly anticipated unveiling will take place during Ferrari Racing Days at the Hungaroring, located near Budapest, on September 13, 2026.
296 GTB-Based Model Spotted Testing
The upcoming supercar, based on the 296 GTB platform, was recently spotted undergoing rigorous testing at the Fiorano test track in Maranello. Speculations are rife that the new model might bear the moniker of either 296 GT Modificata or 296 Challenge EVO.
Impressive Design Elements
The spy shots from the testing session showcase a significantly modified version of the 296 GTB. The car features a sculpted front bumper with a sizable splitter, accompanied by canards on each side and a potential S-duct. Moreover, it boasts louvres on the front fenders and prominently flared rear wheel arches with substantial intakes.

Unique Aero Features
The new track-focused model is equipped with a distinctive spoiler featuring a wide aerofoil design with a central pillar and large endplates extending from the rear bodywork. Overall, the car exudes a more extreme vibe reminiscent of the 296 Challenge race car.

Exclusive Production for Elite Customers
The 296 GT / Challenge EVO will be manufactured in limited numbers, catering exclusively to Ferrari’s elite clientele. Additionally, Ferrari is actively developing a more hardcore variant of the 296 for road use, known as the 296 Challenge Stradale.
