2027 Polestar 4 EV updated for Australia with no price rise

The latest iteration of the Polestar 4 electric vehicle is now available for pre-order in Australia, with anticipated arrival in July-August 2026. The starting price remains at $78,500 for the base model, marking a continuation of the brand’s best-selling model in the country.

The Polestar 4 lineup includes three model grades: ‘Rear motor’, ‘Dual motor’, and ‘Dual motor with Performance pack’, replacing the previous ‘Long Range’ nomenclature. Despite being second to the Tesla Model Y in sales, the Polestar 4 leads over competitors like the Porsche Macan Electric and Audi Q6 e-tron.

Updates for the 2027 model year focus on enhancements to the chassis, with adjustments to suspension components such as spring rates, dampers, and anti-roll bar settings. These changes are intended to provide a more controlled and comfortable driving experience, improving both ride quality and dynamic performance.

In terms of charging capabilities, the Polestar 4 now offers faster charging options, including a standalone 22kW AC charging upgrade for all models. This option reduces the full-charge time to 5.5 hours for the 100kWh lithium-ion battery across the lineup.

Additional features and packages include the Comfort pack, Nappa leather upholstery options, and the Plus pack, which now includes Pixel LED headlights, a hands-free power tailgate, and more. The Pro pack has been removed, with its features now integrated into the different model grades.

The pricing for the Polestar 4 starts at $78,500 for the Rear motor model, $86,350 for the Dual motor model, and $100,050 for the Dual motor with Performance pack. The Performance pack includes upgrades like 22-inch forged alloy wheels, Polestar Engineered chassis tuning, and high-performance brakes.
