2026 Mazda CX-6e price and specs

Mazda is set to introduce its first contender against the popular Tesla Model Y in September 2026, with the launch of the 2026 Mazda CX-6e. This new electric SUV will come with a competitive starting price of $53,990 before on-road costs, positioning it as an attractive option in the market.

The 2026 Mazda CX-6e lineup will provide customers with a more affordable alternative to the base Model Y, BYD Sealion 7, and Zeekr 7X, offering a price advantage of $4910, $1000, and $3910 respectively. Additionally, Mazda is sweetening the deal by offering the first 1000 customers who pre-order the entry-level CX-6e GT a complimentary upgrade to the range-topping Azami trim, valued at $3000.

Developed and manufactured through the Changan Mazda joint venture in China, the Mazda CX-6e shares its platform with the Mazda 6e liftback. While a long-range electric version is available in China, Mazda has decided not to bring it to the market here.

In terms of pricing, the 2026 Mazda CX-6e will be available in two variants: the GT and Azami. The GT model starts at $53,990, while the Azami trim is priced at $56,990 before on-road costs.

When it comes to efficiency, the Mazda CX-6e is equipped with a rear-wheel drive electric powertrain, providing a balance of performance and range for drivers.

In terms of dimensions, the Mazda CX-6e is slightly longer, narrower, and lower than the Tesla Model Y, offering a unique design and stance on the road.

Safety features on the Mazda CX-6e include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and a surround-view camera system, among others. While safety ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP are pending, Mazda has equipped the CX-6e with a range of advanced safety technologies.

Standard equipment on the Mazda CX-6e includes features such as alloy wheels, automatic headlights, a panoramic glass roof, wireless smartphone integration, and a premium sound system. The Azami trim adds additional luxury touches such as larger wheels and digital rear-view mirrors.

Customers can choose from a range of exterior paint colors for the Mazda CX-6e, with options for a black interior or a Warm Beige interior at an additional cost. All exterior paint options come with a Jet Black Mica roof as standard.

In conclusion, the 2026 Mazda CX-6e is set to make a strong impact in the electric SUV market, offering a compelling blend of performance, features, and pricing. With its stylish design, efficient drivetrain, and advanced safety technologies, the CX-6e is poised to be a standout choice for customers looking for a premium electric vehicle.
