Samsung Health Introduces Faster Sleep Coaching and Enhanced Running Coach Features

Samsung Health has recently implemented a new survey feature that streamlines the process of assigning a sleep animal to users. This survey collects crucial information such as alcohol/caffeine intake and overall sleep satisfaction, allowing users to receive their sleep animal after just three days of overnight tracking over a two-week period.

The sleep tracking approach by Samsung is considered one of the best in the market, alongside Huawei. Users can now access actionable insights more quickly, thanks to this new feature.

The presentation of sleep data has also been revamped in the Samsung Health app. Users can now view a pentagon-shaped Sleep Balance graph, highlighting key areas such as sleep time, sleep regularity, time spent awake, sleep satisfaction, and the Energy Score.

To access the Sleep Coaching feature, users need Samsung Health v6.24 or newer on a Galaxy phone running Android 11 or later, paired with a Galaxy Watch 4 or newer, Galaxy Fit 3 or newer, or Galaxy Ring.

In addition to the sleep tracking update, Samsung has expanded its Running Coach feature by adding two more levels beyond the previous limit of 10. This enhancement caters to avid runners who push themselves to the limits with activities like ultra-marathons.

The timing of this update aligns well with the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and the durable Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, providing them with a competitive edge, especially in light of the unveiling of Apple Watch alternatives.
