Stellantis to launch 60 new models by 2030 in new turnaround plan

Stellantis recently unveiled its ambitious turnaround strategy known as FaSTLane 2030, which outlines plans to introduce a new platform for most passenger car categories, launch 60 new models by 2030, and concentrate on developing four core brands. This strategic plan, announced by CEO Antonio Filosa in June 2025, involves a massive investment of €60 billion to introduce 60 new models and 50 significant product updates across all brands by the end of the decade. Among these, there will be 29 electric vehicles (EVs), 15 plug-in hybrid or range extender EVs, 24 hybrids, and 39 combustion or mild hybrid vehicles.

The automaker has decided to focus its resources primarily on four key global brands: Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat, allocating 70% of its product development budget to these brands along with the Pro One commercial vehicle unit. These core brands will be the first to utilize new platforms and technologies.

In addition to the core brands, Stellantis will also maintain five regional brands, including Chrysler, Dodge, Citroen, Opel/Vauxhall, and Alfa Romeo, which are described as being strong in their respective markets. The company aims to enhance the distinctiveness of these brands to better serve their customers. Furthermore, the “historic brands” DS and Lancia will be overseen by Citroen and Fiat, respectively. Maserati will remain a standalone brand and is preparing to launch two large vehicles, with more details expected later this year.

One of the key highlights of the FaSTLane 2030 plan is the introduction of the new STLA One modular architecture in 2027. This platform is designed to cater to B-, C-, and D-segment vehicles, covering a wide range of models from the Peugeot 208 to the 5008. By replacing the current platforms with STLA One, Stellantis aims to introduce at least 30 models by 2035.

STLA One is a versatile platform that can accommodate various powertrains, including combustion engines, hybrids, and electric setups. The platform is capable of supporting an 800V electrical architecture for EV variants, with features like cell-to-body integration to reduce weight and increase rigidity. Additionally, the platform includes advanced technologies such as the STLA Brain processing unit, STLA SmartCockpit user interface, and STLA AutoDrive autonomous driving system.

To optimize production capacity, Stellantis will manufacture Leapmotor vehicles at its European plants in Madrid and Zaragoza. The company has also entered into a partnership with Dongfeng to produce new Jeep and Peugeot models at their joint venture factory in China. Furthermore, a vehicle from Dongfeng’s Voyah brand will be built at the Stellantis factory in Rennes, France. Additionally, Stellantis has signed a collaboration agreement with Jaguar Land Rover to explore joint development opportunities in the American market.

Overall, Stellantis’ FaSTLane 2030 strategy represents a bold step towards innovation, sustainability, and growth in the automotive industry, with a strong emphasis on new technologies, product development, and strategic partnerships.
