Apple’s Siri Overhaul in iOS 27: A ChatGPT-Inspired Transformation

Apple’s highly anticipated revamp of Siri, set to debut in iOS 27, is poised to take cues from ChatGPT and Liquid Glass. According to Bloomberg‘s renders, iOS 27 will introduce a fresh app and chat interface for Siri. These designs, based on insights from sources familiar with Apple’s plans as per Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, are expected to be officially unveiled at WWDC in June.

A Sneak Peek into the Future of Siri

The leaked images showcase a novel pill-shaped Siri chat bubble emerging from the Dynamic Island, offering options like Ask, Siri, and ChatGPT in a dropdown menu. Gurman suggests that users can access this chat bubble by swiping down from the top edge of the screen, making it a versatile feature across iOS 27, akin to Android’s Gemini chat initiation method.

The New Siri App: Redefined for Convenience

The standalone Siri app depicted in Bloomberg‘s renders mirrors ChatGPT’s chatbot layout, featuring a pill-shaped query box, attachment buttons, voice mode activation, and chat history. Users can expect a user-friendly interface to view past conversations either as a list or visually similar to Google Keep’s block-style notes.

Enhancements Across Apple’s Camera and Photos Apps

In addition to Siri, Bloomberg hints at Apple’s revamped Camera app, rumored to include a new Siri mode and enhanced customization options. The updated Camera app may feature a widget-based menu for easy control adjustments. Similarly, the Photos app is slated to receive AI editing tools, including three new features alongside the existing “Clean Up” function.
