Exciting News: Star Wars Battlefront 3 in Production at EA

A recent report from Variety has revealed that EA is currently working on Star Wars Battlefront 3, with both Respawn and DICE collaborating on the project. This highly-anticipated game is set to be a joint effort between two renowned studios.

According to a memo sent out to EA staff by Cam Weber, president, and chief studios officer, along with David Tinson, president and COO, the company is drawing on the success and lessons learned from Battlefield 6 to enhance their shooter portfolio. They plan to combine resources from Respawn and DICE to create a game that will drive growth and innovation in the shooter genre.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the upcoming game will indeed be Star Wars Battlefront 3, marking a significant milestone for Lucasfilm and EA. This collaboration is not the first attempt at the game, as a job listing in 2012 hinted at earlier development efforts.

The memo also mentioned ongoing projects such as Iron Man and the next Star Wars Jedi game, teasing them as “two huge launches” that fans can look forward to. Additionally, EA Sports announced two new games: “Project Gridiron,” a social-first open-world experience for American Football fans, and the revival of the beloved boxing franchise, Fight Night.

In the realm of The Sims, EA is prioritizing Project Evergreen, the next major installment in the popular simulation series. However, Project Lotus, a multiplayer mobile title, has been put on hold for the time being.
