Ford Racing Teases Ford Le Mans Hypercar for FIA World Endurance Championship

Exciting news for racing fans as Ford Racing announces their entry into the FIA World Endurance Championship with the Ford Le Mans Hypercar. The car is set to compete at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2027.

As the United States commemorates its 250th Independence Day, Ford Racing has given a glimpse of their latest project. While details remain scarce, speculation suggests it could be a Ford GT-based endurance race car tailored for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship and WEC.

On social media, the team shared, “Happy 250th America. We’ve got something special planned for you this year courtesy of #AmericasRaceTeam. #Americas250.”

The upcoming Ford Le Mans Hypercar, shrouded under covers, showcases a striking design featuring a prominent rear spoiler with sizable endplates and a potential central fin. Noteworthy elements include a low scuttle positioned between the front wheel arches and a roof scoop directing air to the mid-mounted 5.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine.

Racing enthusiasts can anticipate the official unveiling of the Ford Le Mans hypercar at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.
