Exciting Changes at Wreckreation Ground: Wreckreation 2 Announced

Big news is coming out of the Wreckreation ground as the highly anticipated Wreckreation 2 has been announced. The original developers, 3 Fields Entertainment, have undergone a transformation into a new studio named When Tides Turn. Along with this change, they have also parted ways with THQ as the publisher.

According to Fiona Sperry, the Studio Head and Executive Producer at When Tides Turn, the decision to create Wreckreation 2 stemmed from extensive feedback from players and industry insiders. “We realized that what we needed was not a bigger game, but a more focused one,” she explained.

Wreckreation 2 promises to deliver an open-world racing experience filled with arcade-style gameplay and breathtaking crashes. Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Burnout series, the game is set in Heartbreak City and features diverse terrains such as coastal roads, mountain passes, airport runways, and bustling urban streets.

One of the most exciting additions to Wreckreation 2 is the ‘Accident Blackspot’ mode, reminiscent of Burnout’s signature gameplay. Additionally, fan-favorite modes like Marked Man and Pursuit will make a return, accompanied by a new mode called Eliminator.

Vehicle handling has been significantly enhanced in Wreckreation 2, offering a more realistic and weighty feel. The game also boasts improved deformation and crash mechanics, with vehicles now exhibiting dynamic damage effects.

Wreckreation 2 is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms, promising an unforgettable racing experience for gamers worldwide.
