Apple’s entry-level MacBook Pro could be up for a redesign

Apple’s Latest Updates on MacBook Pro and iPad Pro

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is currently working on a new version of its entry-level MacBook Pro, set to be launched in the first half of 2027. The company is also in the process of testing four new iPad Pros, with a focus on internal improvements for a spring release.

The upcoming MacBook Pro will maintain its 14-inch screen size and will feature a design that aligns with Apple’s plans for future touchscreen MacBooks. These new touchscreen laptops are expected to be launched between the end of this year and early next year, with a Dynamic Island-like pill at the top of the screen, as per Bloomberg.

Apple recently updated the base MacBook Pro with an M5 chip upgrade in October. The company is now working on developing an M6 processor and has reportedly completed work on another base MacBook Pro upgrade with the current design, scheduled for release this year. Apple is also planning to introduce the M7 line in 2027, including new Pro and Max chips, according to previous reports by Bloomberg.

Regarding the iPad Pros, Bloomberg states that the new models will retain the 11-inch and 13-inch screens. The iPad Pro line was last updated in October with the M5 chip.
