The Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale: A Manual V12 Enthusiast’s Dream

Ferrari has introduced a new car tailored for enthusiasts in the form of the 12Cilindri Manuale. This V12 powerhouse follows closely on the heels of the Luce incident, offering a unique driving experience with a manual gearbox.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale showcases innovative features such as “manual shift-by-wire command” and a “clutch-by-wire pedal” to elevate the thrill of driving. Drawing inspiration from Koenigsegg’s Engage Shift System (ESS), this vehicle allows for manual operation of the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox through a 6-speed gated manual and clutch pedal, translating the driver’s inputs into digital signals for seamless transmission control.

Powering the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale is the renowned 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering an impressive 819 horsepower at 9250 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 7250 rpm. These figures surpass those of the standard model, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph.

To enhance the auditory experience, Ferrari has fine-tuned the exhaust system to amplify the distinctive V12 sound. Additionally, extensive modifications to the cooling system were necessary to meet the engine’s thermal demands and ensure optimal performance.

The aerodynamics package of the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale underwent meticulous adjustments, with a particular focus on optimizing underbody aero surfaces. This allows for customizable configurations catering to either low drag or high-downforce settings for varying driving conditions.
