Prime Video Goes Vertical: A New Perspective on Streaming
Amazon Prime Video Introduces “Clips” Feed to Enhance User Experience
Amazon Prime Video has recently unveiled a new feature called the “Clips” feed, following in the footsteps of streaming giants like Netflix and Disney Plus. This vertical feed will showcase short-form videos from various shows and movies, allowing users to get a glimpse of the content before deciding to watch the full title, rent, or buy it.
Previously, Prime Video offered a TikTok-style feed featuring NBA game highlights. With the introduction of the Clips feed, users can now easily access snippets from a wide range of titles available on the platform. By scrolling through the Clips carousel on the app’s homepage, viewers can discover new content tailored to their viewing history.
One of the key benefits of the Clips feed is the ability to add shows and movies to your watchlist directly from the feed. Additionally, users can share these clips with friends via text, email, or social media platforms. To view the shared clip, the recipient must have the Prime Video app installed on their device. The Clips feature is currently being rolled out to select customers in the US on iOS, Android, and Fire tablets, with a wider release expected later this summer.
