Ubisoft Introduces The Division 2: Into The Dark

Ubisoft has recently unveiled the latest free seasonal update for the popular looter shooter game, The Division 2: Into The Dark. This update brings exciting new features including a fully PvE Dark Zone, a refreshed PvPvE Dark Zone, and a sneak peek at a new Incursion set to launch later this year.

Into The Dark, which is available starting today, puts the spotlight back on the Dark Zone and the menacing Hyenas faction. These enemies have concocted a new formula called “Potent Spice,” making them even more formidable opponents. The Toxis Dark Zone, a new PvE version exclusive to this season, serves as the battleground where players will face off against these enhanced Hyenas. With toxic effects building up over time, players must strategize and use Surged Active Modifiers to dispel the hazards or risk facing the consequences.

In addition to the Toxis Dark Zone, players can also explore the standard Dark Zone as well as the new Balanced Dark Zone, which emphasizes player skill over gear strength with PvP-style level matching. The PvP experience has been revamped across Conflict and Dark Zone variants, with a focus on balancing weapons and gear talents. Future updates will address Skills, Attributes, and Status Effects to enhance the overall PvP gameplay.

Throughout this season, players can look forward to two new Classified Assignments – Conspiracy Zone Hideout on June 16 and McMillan Reservoir Assault on July 21. These assignments offer players a chance to delve into exploration and storytelling within unique locations. Additionally, a new Incursion set at Steel Creek Dam and Hydroelectric Plant will unfold as the Rikers seize control amidst harsh weather conditions.
