Revolutionizing iPhone Mirroring: macOS 27’s Game-Changing Upgrades

Using iPhone Mirroring daily allows easy access to the iPhone directly from the Mac, with significant improvements this year. Recently announced iOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate bring three key updates to iPhone Mirroring, enhancing the experience.

macOS 27: Latest Features for iPhone Mirroring

The most significant change for iPhone Mirroring in macOS 27 is the newfound ability to resize the iPhone Mirroring window.

A recent report by Marcus highlighted the new feature that enables users to adjust the size of the iPhone Mirroring window with any iOS 27-compatible apps. Initially, this feature only applies to Apple’s native iPhone apps, but as developers release iOS 27 updates later this year, resizing support will expand extensively.

Previously, iPhone Mirroring on macOS supported only three preset sizes: smaller, actual size, and larger. The update in macOS 27 Golden Gate and iOS 27 clearly indicates Apple’s preparation for the upcoming foldable iPhone Ultra, expected to launch later this year.

iPhone Mirroring in macOS 27 and iOS 27 also introduces several other enhancements:

• Control Center access
• DRM video support

Previously, iPhone Mirroring did not allow access to the Control Center at all. In macOS 27, users can access it using the CMD+4 keyboard shortcut or through the “View” menu in the Mac’s menu bar.

The DRM video support now enables users to watch protected videos using iPhone Mirroring on their Mac. Previously, all DRM-protected videos would only display a black screen when iPhone Mirroring was active.

Additionally, macOS 27 introduces a new app icon for iPhone Mirroring, aligning with the revamped icons for many other stock Apple apps.
