Google is revamping the VIPs widget with the September Pixel Drop, making it much simpler to call or text your VIP contacts with just a single tap. Easily swipe between VIP contacts and view notification badges within the widget.

Beware of Online Scams

As online scams become increasingly prevalent, Google is taking measures to protect users. Scam Detection, previously available only in the US, is now expanding to nine additional countries, including the UK. Furthermore, this functionality is being integrated into Gboard.

When replying to a potential scam, Gboard will now flag it above the keyboard, providing users with more information upon tapping the button.

Although this feature is currently limited to the US, there are hopes for its availability in other regions in the near future.
