Ford Le Mans Hypercar Conquers 1000 km of Rigorous Track Testing
The Ford Le Mans Hypercar Completes Successful Track Test
The Ford Le Mans Hypercar recently completed a significant milestone by finishing its first major track test, covering an impressive distance of 1,000 km (621 miles) at Circuit Paul Ricard in France. This marks a crucial step in the development of the new endurance racer as it gains momentum.
During the test, Ford Racing seized the opportunity to subject the car to sustained running, allowing its drivers to gather essential data on both performance and reliability. This rigorous testing phase is vital in ensuring that the Hypercar meets the high standards set by Ford.
The driving duties were shared among talented individuals including Logan Sargeant, Matt Campbell, Tom Blomqvist, and Mike Rockenfeller. Support drivers Sebastian Priaulx and Nick Yelloly were also present to assist in monitoring the program and collecting valuable information.
Looking ahead, Ford has outlined an extensive testing plan that spans across three continents in the upcoming months. The team’s next destination is Ford’s technical center in North Carolina for three days of simulator work, followed by a return to the track at Portimao in Portugal in September.

Subsequent testing phases will take place in various locations across Europe, including Silverstone, Monza, Imola, and Aragon. The final leg of testing will bring the team back to the US, where they will test at Circuit of the Americas and Sebring.
Overall, the Ford Le Mans Hypercar’s successful track test signifies a crucial step forward in its development process, bringing it one step closer to its racing debut. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
