Fitbit Edge vs Charge 6

In the realm of wearable technology, the anticipation of a new device to rival the aging Fitbit Charge 6 has been high. The recent unveiling of the Pixel 11 in August sparked further excitement when a mysterious device appeared in advertisements in Australia.

Reddit

Speculation arose regarding the nature of this device, with some dismissing it as an error while others believed it to be an unannounced product. Bearing a resemblance to the Fitbit Charge 6 but sporting a modern Pixel Watch design, many speculated that this could be the highly anticipated Fitbit Charge 7, potentially already in the certification process.

Android Authority has recently obtained exclusive images and details about this mysterious device.

Meet the Fitbit Edge

It appears that Google is positioning the Fitbit Edge as a middle-ground option between the Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch 5, combining elements of both devices to create a unique wearable.

The branding of the device, particularly the term ‘Edge,’ is yet to be officially explained by Google. Historically, ‘edge’ in the tech industry has denoted a slim device or a curved edge display, suggesting that the Fitbit Edge may offer users an edge in terms of fitness and training.

The Fitbit Air resembles an updated version of the Charge 6, featuring an oval screen and straps that complement the design of some Pixel 11 phones. While final names are still to be confirmed, color options include black, green, and orange, with the latter two possibly being named Olive and Canyon.
