Samsung Galaxy A37 hands on

Samsung is gearing up for the next update for its smartphones, with One UI 8.5 poised to introduce a range of new features that will benefit both current flagship devices and older models. According to a report by Sammobile, four features from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 will be made available through a software update, as discovered in a test version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

If you own a Galaxy S22 or a newer model, you can expect to receive this update. The four features in question include Call Screening, Advanced Audio Eraser, Creative Studio, and Photo Assist. Call Screening, also found on newer Google Pixel devices, protects users from scam calls by utilizing AI to answer calls, check caller information, and provide recordings and transcripts for review.

The other three features utilize artificial intelligence for editing photos, videos, and creating stickers or images. The Advanced Audio Eraser eliminates background noise, Photo Assist allows AI-powered photo editing, and Creative Studio enables users to create their own content.

The stable version of One UI 8.5 is scheduled to launch in South Korea on April 30, with a global rollout starting in May 2026. However, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series already comes pre-installed with One UI 8.5.

For those interested in purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S26, prices vary among different retailers. Amazon offers it for $848.06, Walmart for $899.99, Best Buy US for $1018.77, and Target for $1031.99.

It’s important to note that not all Galaxy smartphones will receive the One UI 8.5 update, as some have already exceeded their support period. However, devices from the Galaxy S22 onwards are expected to be supported.
