Alfa Romeo's cheapest model in Australia just got cheaper

The Alfa Romeo Junior: A New Deal for Value

The Alfa Romeo Junior, the latest addition to the Italian brand’s lineup, now offers even better value with a new deal for the low-volume light SUV. For vehicles ordered and delivered before September 30, 2026, or while stocks last, the Junior Ibrida is available for $49,990 drive-away, including standard premium paint and a sunroof.

Normally priced at $46,990 before on-road costs, the base Junior Ibrida can now be yours for $51,261 drive-away based on a New South Wales postcode. This offer includes premium paint and a sunroof, which would typically cost an additional $1990.

Exclusive to ‘Series 0’ vehicles, this offer is not valid in conjunction with any other promotions and is not available to government or rental buyers. Alternatively, newer Ibrida Series 1 stock is priced at $54,990 drive-away with similar inclusions and terms.

The Junior Ibrida is a front-wheel-drive SUV equipped with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering a total of 107kW and 230Nm. It features a six-speed electrified dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 0.42kWh lithium-ion battery.

For those interested in an electric version, the Elettrica boasts a front-mounted 115kW/260Nm electric motor and a 51kWh (net) battery, providing a range of 407km as per WLTP standards.

In Australia, Alfa Romeo delivered 94 Juniors last year, closely trailing the related Jeep Avenger despite offering both mild-hybrid and electric powertrains. As of June, 69 Junior models have been sold this year, surpassing the 43 Avengers.

The Junior and Avenger are manufactured in Tychy, Poland, alongside the Fiat 600, which is not available in the Australian market. These models share the same platform.

Despite a 26.2% decrease in deliveries this year, Alfa Romeo’s cheapest model, the Junior, is nearly on par with the Giulia sedan in terms of sales. While the Giulia, Stelvio, and Tonale have experienced double-digit declines, a refreshed Tonale has recently made its way to local showrooms.
