In a recent leak from dealabs.com, it has been revealed that Need for Speed: Unbound will be one of the games featured in the PS Plus lineup for January 2026 on the PS5 platform. Developed by Criterion and published by EA in 2022, this arcade racer received high praise with a 9/10 rating upon release, being hailed as the best in its genre for that year. Despite receiving multiple updates, support for the game ceased in 2024 as Criterion shifted focus to Battlefield 6.

With Sony’s announcement that starting January 2026, PS4 games will no longer be a guaranteed part of the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup, the emphasis will now be on offering PS5 titles. While cross-gen games with a PS4 version may still be included, it is no longer a requirement. Sony stated on the PS Blog:

“As many players are now on PS5 and accessing PS5 titles, PlayStation Plus will prioritize offering PS5 titles starting January 2026. PS4 games will only be occasionally offered, with the possibility of titles playable on both consoles. Existing PS4 Monthly Games will remain accessible to members.”

PlayStation Plus will continue to evolve with exclusive discounts, online multiplayer access, and more benefits. The focus will be on introducing new PS5 titles monthly for subscribers to enjoy.”

The official announcement for the PS Plus January 2026 games is expected to be made on the PlayStation Blog today. As for the December 2025 lineup, subscribers can enjoy titles like LEGO Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality Echo of Ada, and Neon White until January 6th, 2026.
