Cadillac Enhances In-Car Tech Experience with Thoughtful Updates

Cadillac is taking steps to refine its in-car technology, introducing a series of updates designed to improve the overall user experience. One of the key enhancements includes the implementation of larger touchscreen buttons for frequently used controls. This adjustment aims to minimize missed taps and ensure smoother interactions while driving.

Specifically, Cadillac is rolling out a new feature for music streaming that includes a side-mounted queue displaying upcoming tracks. This functionality is compatible with select subscriptions, such as Spotify, and is complemented by a new dropdown source selector for seamless switching between audio apps.

Furthermore, the latest updates introduce on-screen graphics that mirror the physical seat controls located on the doors, making it easier for users to make adjustments at a glance. Electric vehicle owners will also benefit from simplified charging notifications and clearer labels and descriptions throughout the system.

Visual enhancements are also part of the package, with head-up displays now featuring sharper text and graphics. Additionally, the Bluetooth pairing process has been streamlined by eliminating an extra step.

These updates will be delivered via over-the-air updates to models like the Cadillac CT5, Lyriq, Optiq, and Vistiq. Other Cadillac models are expected to receive the software update at a later stage.
