Prepare for Battle: Attack On Titan 3 Strikes on December 10th
Attack On Titan 3 Release Date Confirmed
Koei Tecmo has officially announced that Attack On Titan 3 will be released on December 10th this year. Fans of the game can mark their calendars for this highly anticipated launch. To build up excitement, Koei Tecmo has also unveiled a new gameplay trailer showcasing what players can expect from the latest installment of the popular series.
Various Editions Available
Players have the option to choose from different editions of Attack On Titan 3, depending on their preference for physical or digital copies. The standard edition includes the base game only. For those who prefer the physical Steelbook Launch edition, they will receive the base game along with an Attack On Titan 3 steelbook, an Iconart, and bonus customization DLC such as the Wings of Freedom choker and gloves. The Digital Deluxe edition offers additional content like three costumes, seven creator parts, the Original Equipment pack, a digital artbook, and a starter item pack. Players who opt for the digital deluxe edition will also enjoy 72-hour early access to Attack On Titan 3, except for the Switch 2 version.
Gameplay and Features
Attack On Titan 3 will closely follow the storyline of the anime series, allowing players to join the Survey Corps and create their own character to participate in major battles alongside established characters. Each character possesses unique abilities, and players must strategically assemble a squad with complementary skills for each mission. A new feature in A03 is the Exterior Scouting Missions, which will take players beyond the city walls to establish bases, eliminate Titans, and expand human territory. Resource management will play a crucial role, as players must balance the risk of exploring new territories with the potential loss of soldiers.
Previous Installment Reception
Attack on Titan 2 was released in 2018 and received a favorable review score of 8/10. The game was praised for its unique gameplay experience, with Omega Force successfully creating a fresh and engaging video game based on the popular anime series. While some elements of the Warriors formula remained, they complemented the core gameplay well. Players were particularly impressed by the opportunities to interact with the cast between missions, adding depth to the overall gaming experience. Attack on Titan 2 was lauded as one of the best anime video games for its innovative gameplay.
