Apple WWDC26 hero

As Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) draws near, the company is gearing up for the event by teasing sneak peeks, preparing its YouTube channel for streaming, and inviting attendees to a special screening of the latest Star Wars film. Greg “Joz” Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, recently hinted at a possible tagline for WWDC26 with the phrase “All systems glow.”

A teaser video posted by Joz shows a glowing Apple logo, hinting at the new Siri design, as confirmed by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The upcoming system-wide Siri interface in iOS 27 is expected to feature a Dynamic Island design with a dark theme that matches the colors seen in WWDC art. Additionally, there will be a standalone Siri app following a similar design motif.

The reference to “all systems glow” in Joz’s teaser indicates a move towards a more interactive Siri experience, distancing Apple from past shortcomings. The updated Siri interface is anticipated to offer more functionalities beyond voice commands, expanding into a full-featured user interface.

Apple enthusiasts won’t have to wait long to witness these changes, as the WWDC26 Keynote is set to start on June 8. The event will be livestreamed on Apple’s YouTube channel, allowing viewers to tune in and witness the unveiling of new features.

A Bonus for In-Person Attendees

While WWDC primarily takes place online, select individuals have the opportunity to attend the event in person at Apple Park. In addition to watching the keynote on a larger screen, these attendees can engage in post-event activities, including a special screening of The Mandalorian and Grogu at the Steve Jobs Theater on June 9.

The screening will be preceded by a presentation highlighting Apple technologies used in the film’s production, with a special guest expected to make an appearance. Director Jon Favreau has previously praised Apple Vision Pro for its role in his filmmaking process, emphasizing its significance in framing IMAX shots.

Invitations for the screening are limited to in-person WWDC attendees, who must RSVP in advance to secure a seat. RSVPs will open on June 4, ensuring fair access to the event.
