Spyker Cars Set to Unveil New Supercar at Pebble Beach

The renowned Dutch boutique automaker Spyker Cars is gearing up to introduce a brand new supercar after a significant hiatus. The company’s CEO, Victor Muller, took to social media to announce that the latest generation C8 Preliator will be revealed at Pebble Beach on August 14.

Although specific details about the car remain under wraps, it is known that chassis no. 270 is currently undergoing hand-assembly at the factory, following the tradition of all previous Spyker models.

The upcoming Spyker supercar is anticipated to be a modern iteration of the C8 Preliator, which originally debuted a decade ago with a front-mounted 4.2-liter V8 engine. Muller has hinted that the new model will feature a V8 engine complemented by twin turbochargers, boasting an impressive output of around 800 horsepower. This powertrain is expected to propel the car to a top speed exceeding 200 mph.

The journey of the Spyker brand, revived by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn in 1999, has been marked by several challenges and triumphs. Despite facing bankruptcy twice in 2014 and 2021, the company managed to overcome these setbacks. In a significant development last year, Muller and the trustee involved in the insolvency proceedings reached a final agreement, enabling Spyker Cars to regain control of its operations.

Stay tuned for more updates on the highly-anticipated unveiling of the new Spyker supercar at Pebble Beach.
