The Exclusive BMW 7 Series Dual-Finish Option: A Closer Look
For those in the market for a top-of-the-line luxury sedan, the new Dual-Finish option for the BMW 7 Series is turning heads. Priced at €14,000, this unique exterior finish is a true industry first, setting the bar high for customization in the automotive world.
Unlike anything seen before, the Dual-Finish treatment involves a meticulous process that combines a matte paint finish on the lower body with a manually applied glossy metallic finish on the upper body. Currently, the option is only available in the stunning Tanzanite Blue color, with the two shades elegantly separated by a hand-drawn Coachline, reminiscent of Rolls-Royce craftsmanship.
What Sets Dual-Finish Apart
The Dual-Finish option requires over 20 specialized employees to meticulously work on each vehicle through a 12-step painting process. This labor-intensive process results in each car spending over 75 hours in the body shop, six times longer than standard color applications. The attention to detail is evident in the seamless transition from glossy to matte finishes, with BMW ensuring that there is no noticeable transition point where the two finishes meet.
While currently limited to Tanzanite Blue, the possibility of additional Dual-Finish options in the future remains open. However, the new 7 Series already offers over 500 colors and combinations, with individual colors priced at €2,350 and matte finishes at €4,100. Alpine White stands as the only no-cost option, with other colors ranging from €1,220 to €1,400.
Looking Towards the Future
Exciting developments are on the horizon for the BMW 7 Series, with the introduction of the BMW ALPINA 7 Series set for the upcoming year. This luxurious model promises to elevate the standard even further, featuring signature ALPINA colors and exclusive design elements that set it apart from the rest.
Furthermore, BMW’s Individual Manufaktur program allows the most discerning customers to create bespoke, one-of-a-kind 7 Series vehicles tailored to their preferences. While BMW aims to bridge the gap to the Rolls-Royce Ghost, the V12 engine remains exclusive to Rolls-Royce, ensuring a unique offering in the luxury sedan market.
