Xbox owners can now disable Quick Resume for specific games

Microsoft’s Latest Xbox Update Introduces Exciting New Features

Microsoft recently rolled out a new update for Xbox users, bringing a host of new features to enhance the gaming experience. One of the standout additions is the ability to disable Quick Resume for individual games, providing users with more control over their gameplay.

The Benefits of Quick Resume on Xbox Series X / S Consoles

Quick Resume has been lauded as one of the best features on the Xbox Series X / S consoles, allowing users to seamlessly switch between games with minimal wait time. However, it can sometimes encounter issues with multiplayer games or titles that rely heavily on internet connectivity. In response to user feedback, Microsoft has made improvements to address performance issues that may arise after extended periods of inactivity or with online-dependent games.

Enhancements Across the Board

In addition to the Quick Resume update, Microsoft has introduced several other enhancements in this latest release. Users can now create up to ten groups on the Home screen (up from just two), customize colors in the UI, and easily access their play history. PC users can utilize their gamepad as a mouse and pin up to three games to the “Jump back in” and “Most Recent” lists. Furthermore, Microsoft is testing its Auto SR technology, a competitor to DLSS, on the Xbox Ally X handheld device.
