Zürich-based Exclaim Robotics exits stealth with €4.29 million to build robots for AI data centre maintenance

Exclaim Robotics: Revolutionizing AI Data Centre Maintenance

Exclaim Robotics, a promising startup based in Zürich, has recently emerged from stealth mode after securing a substantial €4.29 million ($4.95 million) pre-Seed funding round co-led by Founderful and Playfair.

The core focus of Exclaim Robotics lies in the development of cutting-edge robots designed to streamline the maintenance operations within AI data centres. These autonomous mobile robots are engineered to carry out routine repair and upkeep tasks, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

CEO and Founder of Exclaim Robotics, Helen Oleynikova, expressed her vision for the company by stating, “The speed of innovation in data centre infrastructure is reminiscent of the space race…” Helen brings a wealth of experience to the table, with a solid background in robotics from esteemed organizations such as Willow Garage, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and ETH Zürich.

Founded in 2026, Exclaim Robotics boasts a talented team led by Helen Oleynikova and founding engineer Patrick Pfreundschuh. The company is set to expand further with the addition of two more founding engineers in 2027.

As the demand for AI data centre capacity continues to soar, Exclaim Robotics recognizes the pressing need for innovative solutions to address maintenance challenges. With the advent of next-generation AI data centres operating at 800 volts DC, traditional maintenance practices are becoming increasingly hazardous and inefficient.

Exclaim Robotics aims to bridge this gap by introducing advanced robotics technology that can navigate data halls autonomously and perform essential maintenance tasks with precision. The company’s strategic approach involves rigorous training in simulation environments to ensure optimal performance in real-world scenarios.
