Crimson Desert Update: Trading Improvements and New Features

The constant stream of patches for Crimson Desert months after its release might raise some eyebrows, but it’s a sign of the developers’ commitment to improving the game. This week, another update has rolled out in the action RPG, focusing on enhancing the trading experience for players who enjoy the economic side of things.

One of the key highlights of this update is the introduction of 133 new trading posts, including the merchant at the Pailune Trading Post. These new posts offer a variety of goods and open up as players progress through specific quests. Additionally, the types and quantities of goods available at trading posts have been adjusted, with higher profits to be made at locations that are more challenging to reach by wagon. Players will also need to be mindful of oversaturating the market with one item, as it can affect trading prices.

To cater to players looking to maximize their profits, the update introduces 24 new high-value goods and four new regular goods for trading. Packaged goods can now be stacked in batches of 10 or 100, depending on their value, and players have the option to sell individual items for quick cash. The ability to transfer goods between the wagon and horse has also been added to streamline the trading process.

In addition to the trading enhancements, players will find seven new wagon workshops around Pywel that serve as intermediate trading posts. These workshops allow players to package and load trade goods efficiently. Quality of life improvements include wagon routes being displayed on the minimap, a trade tab on the map interface, and a cap on the maximum number of gold bars that can be gained or lost through bank interest set at 40.
